Terms of Service

Effective 21 September 2026. Last updated 21 September 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Tenet, 10 Rue Des Caves, 34480 Puimisson, France ("we", "us"), for your use of Tenet — the desktop app, the web app and the services behind them.

By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.

Two other documents form part of this agreement: the Privacy Policy and the AI Content Policy.

1. Tenet is in beta

You should read this section properly rather than skip it.

Tenet is pre-release software. It will contain defects. Features will change and some will be removed. Performance and availability are not guaranteed, and we do not guarantee that your projects or media will survive — through our fault, a provider's, or a bug.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Tenet can export your work and you should use it. We take backups, but they are for our operational benefit and are not a service we promise you.

During beta we may change or withdraw features, and reset or migrate data, with whatever notice is practical.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to use Tenet. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You are responsible for your credentials and for what is done with your account. Tell us promptly at max@strivehaus.com if you think it has been compromised.

Accounts may be created by invitation during beta. We may decline or withdraw an invitation.

3. What you may and may not do

Use Tenet for anything lawful that the AI Content Policy permits. Do not:

  • break that policy;
  • resell, sublicense or provide Tenet to third parties as a service;
  • share your account, or use one account to serve several people;
  • attempt to extract our credentials or to reach providers through us outside the product;
  • reverse engineer the service beyond what the law permits you to;
  • circumvent credit limits, rate limits or access controls;
  • automate use in a way that degrades the service for others, or run volumes outside ordinary interactive use;
  • upload material you do not have the rights to.

4. Your content, and what we may do with it

You keep ownership of everything you import and everything you generate. We claim none of it.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, transmit, render and display your content solely to operate the service for you — and to send the necessary parts of it to the providers who carry out the operations you request. That licence lasts as long as you keep the content with us, and ends when you delete it, apart from copies in backups that age out on their ordinary cycle.

We do not use your content to train models, and we do not sell it or licence it to others to train theirs.

You are responsible for holding the rights to what you upload. Generated output is subject to section 6 of the AI Content Policy — including the warning that the underlying model provider's terms apply, and that AI output may not be copyrightable.

5. Credits, plans and payment

How credits work

Generation is paid for with prepaid credits. Credits are bought in advance, held against jobs while they run, and charged when they succeed.

  • A job that fails or is cancelled before it is billed returns its hold in full. You are not charged for output that never existed.
  • A job that succeeds is charged at the rate shown when you submitted it. Some models can only be priced once their output is measured; those settle at the measured amount.
  • When your balance cannot cover a job, the job is refused before it reaches a provider. We do not extend credit.

Prices for individual operations are shown in the app before you commit to them, and your balance and its full history are in Settings › Account.

Plans

PlanPer monthGeneration credits each month
Free—none; the editor, the canvas, your own media and export
Creator$29$25
Pro$79$75
Studio$199$200

Plan credits are replaced at the start of each billing period, not added to. Whatever is left when the period ends is gone. Credits you buy separately as a top-up are a different thing: they never expire, and they are only spent once the month's allowance is used up.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the period you have paid for. Unspent plan credits do not survive cancellation or a downgrade — they belonged to a period that has ended. Top-up credits are unaffected and remain on your account.

Auto-recharge

On a paid plan you can switch on auto-recharge in Settings › Account. While it is on, whenever your available credits fall below 5,000 we charge the card you chose $50 and add 5,000 top-up credits, which never expire, at most four times in any 24 hours. Each recharge is a top-up and is treated as one (including for refunds, below). You authorise these charges by switching it on or saving a card for it, and you can switch it off at any time; it also stops if you leave your plan or a charge fails.

We may change prices. For subscriptions, changes take effect at your next renewal and we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand.

Refunds

Payments are taken by Stripe; we never receive your card details.

Top-up credits are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase to the extent they are unspent. Credits already spent are not refundable: the provider cost behind them has been incurred and cannot be recovered.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods, and unspent plan credits are not refunded — see above.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Because this is a digital service supplied immediately, that right ends once you ask us to begin and acknowledge losing it — which we ask you to confirm at checkout. Until you have used the service, the 14-day right stands regardless of anything else in this section.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars. Where we are required to collect VAT or sales tax, it is calculated and added at checkout.

Free use

You may use the editor, the canvas and your own imported media without buying anything. Free accounts hold no credits, so operations that call an AI provider are unavailable until you add some.

6. Third-party providers

Generation runs on third-party models. Their terms and their content policies apply to what you send, they may refuse or filter requests, and their availability is not within our control.

We are not responsible for a provider's acts or omissions, for output they produce, or for their downtime. Where a provider charges us for a request they subsequently refuse, that cost may reach your account.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep Tenet running but offer no uptime commitment during beta. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and may impose rate limits to keep it usable for everyone.

Support during beta is by email at max@strivehaus.com, on a reasonable-efforts basis.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Tenet at any time and delete your account from within the app.

We may suspend or terminate your account for a breach of these terms or the AI Content Policy, for non-payment, or where we must in order to comply with the law. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to put it right; where the breach is serious — anything in the "never" list of the AI Content Policy — we act immediately.

On termination, your right to use Tenet ends. Unspent credits are refunded where we terminate for convenience, and forfeit where we terminate for a serious breach. Export your work before you close an account; we are not obliged to keep it afterwards.

9. Our intellectual property

Tenet, its software, design and marks belong to us. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service, and nothing more. Feedback you send us may be used freely and without obligation.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Tenet is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

We make no warranty about generated output — its accuracy, its originality, its fitness for your purpose, or whether it infringes anyone's rights.

11. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or the cost of substitute services.
  • Our total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and (b) USD 100.

Given section 1, note particularly that we are not liable for lost work. Keep your own copies.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of Tenet, or your breach of these terms or the AI Content Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use Tenet after they take effect means you accept them; if you don't, stop using it and close your account, and we will refund unspent credits.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of France, and the courts of France have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of where you live and may bring proceedings there.

15. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may, to a successor of our business. These documents are the entire agreement between us about Tenet.
